Frequently Asked Questions

Fragrances consist of numerous different scents that are known as “notes.

Upon application, the top notes will be noticeable, but they only last for 5-10 minutes before fading away and giving way to the middle notes. The middle notes will become more apparent around 15 minutes after application and will linger on the skin, making them the most memorable scents in the fragrance. Finally, the base notes are the heaviest ingredients that will cling to the skin for several hours, leaving a lasting essence. Discover more about fragrance notes.

Alcohol accentuates the fragrance on your skin by bringing out its unique notes and ensuring that all ingredients are well-blended. As it evaporates, it releases the scent into the atmosphere. Without alcohol, it would be difficult for others to detect the fragrance you’re wearing.

Body chemistry is unique. An individual’s body chemistry can affect how different fragrance notes react with their skin. The natural smell of the skin may be altered by factors such as hormonal changes, stress, mood, diet, and medications.

If you’re asking yourself “Why doesn’t my perfume last?”, the answer may lie in your skin. Those with dry skin often find that their fragrance fades faster compared to those with oily skin, as oily skin contains more natural moisture to retain the scent.

The PH levels, which refer to the amount of acidity in our skin, can vary slightly from person to person. It is this unique aspect of our individual PH levels that plays a significant role in determining how each ingredient in a fragrance will react and last over time. The complex interplay between these factors can result in a range of distinctive aromas, each uniquely suited to a particular individual’s unique profile. Therefore, it is essential to consider the impact of these intricacies when choosing your go-to fragrance, as they can ultimately make all the difference in how the fragrance smells and performs. So, pay attention to your PH levels, and let them guide you on your quest for the perfect scent!

The length of fragrance holding time can be influenced by the concentration of the scent. Those with higher concentrations will maintain their aroma for a longer period.

The longevity of fragrance varies from person to person due to differences in skin type (oily or dry) and PH levels. To prolong the effect, moisturizing and layering your fragrance can be helpful. You can start with a fragrance bath gel (if available), followed by a moisturizer or powder, and then finish with your preferred Eau de Toilette, Eau de Parfum, or Eau de Cologne.

There is absolutely no difference in fragrance between a splash and a spray. While a spray bottle may have a longer shelf life, as it is ostensibly sealed, the only actual difference is in the application. Hence, the choice between splash and spray is solely a matter of personal preference.

After-shave lotion may cause a slight sting as it commonly includes an antiseptic agent to soothe the skin. It effectively moisturizes the face and aids in closing the pores post-shave. The Soothing After Shave Balm has a creamier texture compared to the After Shave Lotion. On the other hand, After Shave Gel soothes and cools the skin, relieving razor burn.

The difference between different fragrances is determined by the concentration of natural oils, also known as “juice”. The higher the concentration, the longer the fragrance will last and the less you’ll need to apply.

Perfume, also known as parfum, has the highest concentration of fragrance oils, allowing the scent to gradually unfold in a series of notes over an extended period of time.

The second highest concentration is found in Eau de Parfum, which has a slightly lighter scent than perfume.

Next is Eau de Toilette, whose scent is lighter still, making it perfect for liberal application.

Finally, Eau de Cologne is the most subtle type of fragrance. However, Eau de Toilette and Eau de Cologne are often used interchangeably, especially in men’s perfumes. Aftershave contains the least amount of oil.

Some men prefer cologne because its fragrance lasts much longer than aftershave. Others prefer aftershave due to its added cooling and soothing ingredients. Many men choose to wear both, using less of each for a longer-lasting fragrance and added facial benefits.
Shower gel is a form of soap that is suitable for use by both men and women. It produces a rich lather and imparts a subtle fragrance onto the skin. The use of shower gel helps to cleanse the body and extends the longevity of your cologne or perfume.
Keep all fragrances in a cool, dry area and away from windows as sunlight can unbalance the different ingredients. An opened bottle must be kept in its box to ensure a longer shelf life.

Testers are genuine, fresh, and 100% original. They are used by department stores to promote a specific fragrance and, therefore, have the same quality as the retail product. Manufacturers make testers, and they may come in plain packaging or without the fancy cap. All the testers are brand new and have not been used before. Since they do not come with decorative packaging, we are able to procure them at a lower cost and pass on the savings to you.

Missing or changed UPC or other tracking codes on products are not done by the manufacturer and likely happened in the supply chain after leaving their control.

What does “unboxed” fragrance mean?

Unboxed items are authentic, fresh, and 100% original. They are the best way to save. Bottles can get scratched, and boxes can become damaged in transit, which is why we remove them. As a result, we purchase them for less and pass the savings on to you. Did you know that unboxed versions of products actually have the exact same fragrance as their boxed counterparts? That’s right – whether you prefer your fragrance packaged in a sleek bottle or in its unboxed version, you’re getting the same high-quality scent either way! So why not consider trying out the unboxed version and saving a little bit of money while still getting the same amazing fragrance?
